Workshops
In
conjuction with People For Animals, Goa, the
Goa SPCA has conducted two workshops during 2001. In
February, a workshop on the Animal Laws of India
was held at Porvorim, training 60 people from the Collectorate,
the police force, and other animal welfare organisations.
In May, a workshop on first aid held at the PFA
Panjim shelter provided hands on training to 56 members
of the general public, aged 10 upwards.
Participants
at both workshops, which were completely free for attendance,
were also provided with extensive reading material obtained
from the Animal Welfare Ministry, or purchased
by corporate sponsors. Funding for these workshops was
entirely obtained through corporate sponsorships and
individual donations.
The
Goa SPCA plans to hold many such workshops at regular
intervals, most of them at the Torda facility.
Your individual contribution, as participant, networker,
facilitator or financer, will be accepted with gratitude.
Please
contact lynn@goaspca.com
